William M. Rucker, LCSW, LIMHP
As a marriage and family therapist, Bill specializes in working with individuals, couples, and families. He specializes in resolving marital problems and working with families to address remarriage and stepfamily/blended family issues. He also uses clinical hypnosis for anxiety, depression, and pain control (especially for medical issues, such as childbirth or after medical procedures). Bill works with individuals who have difficulty sleeping, providing a non-medication approach to sleep enhancement. He also specializes in helping individuals with change and transition, providing grief counseling and addressing issues related to job loss or career changes and retirement.
Bill was an ordained Catholic priest for 11 years; consequently, he is able to help clients understand their situations from a spiritual context. Bill received his masters degree in social work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He is licensed as an independent mental health practitioner in Nebraska.
Bill is a Clinical Fellow in the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), and is a past president of the Nebraska Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (NAMFT). He was named Nebraska Marriage and Family Therapist of the Year in 2009 by the Nebraska Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
